We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and a deep understanding of Power BI capabilities.
Data Modeling and Transformation:
- Design and implement data models to support business requirements.
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights using Power Query and other data manipulation techniques.
Dashboard and Report Development:
- Develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of actionable insights.
Data Integration:
- Integrate Power BI solutions with various data sources, databases, and third-party applications.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different platforms.
Performance Optimization:
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and responsiveness.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data refresh and report rendering.
Security Implementation:
- Implement security measures and data governance policies within Power BI.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with data security standards.
User Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage and best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist in resolving user queries related to Power BI reports.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and IT professionals.
- Collaborate on the integration of Power BI solutions into existing business processes.
Documentation:
- Maintain thorough documentation of data models, report specifications, and development processes.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence concepts.
- Proficient in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language.
- Experience in data integration and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Power BI Certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Experience in creating and maintaining data warehouses.
